How to Print a Calendar Online

A step-by-step guide to choosing, customising, previewing, and printing a calendar from your browser.

Printing a calendar from CalendarPrint.co takes less than a minute. Here is everything you need to know to get a clean, well-formatted printed calendar.

Step 1: Choose a calendar template

Start by selecting the type of calendar you want to print. Visit the Calendar Maker or choose from the template pages. Common choices include:

  • Monthly Calendar — one month per page, ideal for wall or desk use
  • Yearly Calendar — all 12 months on one or two pages
  • Weekly Planner — a detailed week view with time slots or task lists
  • Blank Calendar — an empty grid you can fill in by hand

Step 2: Customise your calendar

Use the settings panel to adjust your calendar before printing:

  • Month and year — choose the time period you need
  • Week start day — Monday or Sunday, depending on your preference
  • Paper size — A4 is standard in the UK, Letter is standard in the US
  • Orientation — portrait (upright) or landscape (sideways)
  • Holidays — choose your country to add public or bank holidays
  • Notes section — add a notes or to-do area if you need one

Step 3: Preview your calendar

The live calendar preview updates as you change settings. Check that the layout looks right before printing. Make sure no dates or text are cut off at the edges.

Step 4: Click "Print Calendar"

Click the Print Calendar button to open your browser's print dialog. This will show a print preview of your calendar.

Step 5: Adjust your printer settings

In the print dialog, check the following settings:

  • Paper size — match your calendar setting (A4 or Letter)
  • Orientation — match your calendar orientation (portrait or landscape)
  • Margins — keep at default or set to Minimum for more calendar space
  • Background graphics — enable this if your calendar uses weekend shading or colour highlighting

Step 6: Print

Click Print to send your calendar to the printer. If you have a PDF printer (such as Microsoft Print to PDF or macOS Save as PDF), you can also save the calendar as a PDF file.

Tips for a clean print

  • Use a white or light-coloured paper for best results
  • If the calendar appears too small, try landscape orientation
  • For yearly calendars, choose landscape orientation for a better fit
  • Monthly calendars usually print best in portrait orientation on A4 or Letter
  • If your printer has a borderless setting, you may be able to use slightly larger margins in the calendar settings for a more spacious look
